Farmyard Animal Park

The Animal Park has over 20 species of animals and birds, including rare white possums and the Bennett’s Wallabies (liberated here in 1874) and the only place in New Zealand where they roam free in the native bush..

This Animal Park is a haven for children.

.A natural wonderland with animals to pet and feed, eggs to collect, talk to “Hermon” the Kune Kune pig, hand feed “Xena” the Spanish fallow deer.

Feeding times at 9am and 3.30pm.  Visit us and see “Pepi” the possum, pet lambs in season, alpacas, emu, turkeys and ducks.

Mother Goose of course and Mr & Mrs Peacock, Billy Bob the goat, Jed the Red Deer, Sammy the Horse and Amber the Donkey.  Over the past ten years these animals have become favourites with many visitors, both domestic and international.

We farewelled “Gobbo” our favourite Kune Kune on the 14 October 2010 after 16 years at the Park.  Sweet dreams Gobbo.
